Retail Assistant

Location: London NW1

Cutler and Gross are looking for a Retail Assistant to join the team at their recently relocated Vintage eyewear store in London’s Marylebone Antiques district.
In our Vintage store, the clients we see are past Cutler and Gross clients who have shopped elsewhere and are curious to see the collection now.
Some know the brand and are surprised to see us on the street and some are new to the brand entirely.
The ideal candidate will have a confidence in styling to select the perfect pair of glasses for a client and to know when to encourage the client out of their comfort zone into a fabulous frame.
To have a warmth and charm of a maître d’ and the style of Monica.
A knowledge of vintage eyewear and know the history and be able to find the correct style if a client references a style from a film.
They would be knowledgeable of lenses and especially Essilor products and competent taking measurements.
Whilst be conscientious enough to keep the store clean, the glasses on display clean and well adjusted.
And to spot a light bulb outage too!
Be able to re merchandise the stock so that we have good sellers on show and poor sellers on separate display, priced lower to sell off.
To be able to adjust frames and fit them immaculately.
To be able to operate MVE and supply the summaries HQ requests.
Salary: £18-20K pending experience

Part-Time Retail Assistant

The ideal candidate will:
  • Have previous luxury retail experience.

The ideal candidate will have previous retail management experience, a proven track record in sharing a brand’s ethos and building customer relationships as well as achieving sales targets.
You should be able to demonstrate an interest in fashion and merchandising, able to give styling advice whilst being flexible and willing to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
You will receive full product training from our long standing staff members in all aspects of our glasses and craft.
Ideal candidates will have experience within luxury retail and eyewear industry.

The Role
Cutler and Gross are looking for a Customer Service/Sales Support Agent to work within our Customer Service and Sales Department managing Cutler and Gross wholesale accounts, and working closely with Sales Agents in the field.

The position will require applicants to have a strong interest in Fashion, ideally eyewear, a confident and friendly telephone manner, coupled with excellent writing skills in order to provide a professional and personal service to our customer base.
The Person
The person should have an enquiring mind, although training will be given to enable the successful candidate to gain a thorough understanding of the Cutler and Gross product. By knowing and appreciating our entire collection, this person will be able to offer a personalised and knowledgeable service to our customers.

Business Development Manager

Location: London NW1

  • Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients in the optical and fashion industry
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
  • Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
  • Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner

Marketing and Graphics Intern

Location: North West London

Cutler and Gross is looking for an intern to join the marketing and graphics team at the London head office. Working in a small, fun and busy team, the role will cover a range of projects across web, graphics, photography and design.
The ideal candidate will have a hands on, “can do” attitude, a keen eye for detail and the flexibility to help out with varied projects.
Sample of responsibilities:
  • Scheduling product photography with external photographers and ensuring quality control
  • Creating imagery in-house for use on social media and in customer newsletters
  • Organising, resizing and archiving all images
  • Updates to the website such as uploading imagery, files and new marketing pages
  • Graphic design for invites, look books, catalogues, window vinyls and store signs
  • Supporting the in-house architect with designs for trade shows, store windows, and POS materials
  • Liaising with third parties such as printers to obtain quotes
  • Competitor research
  • Social media support
The role also offers the chance to work on events, collaborations and the Cutler and Gross Visionaires programme.
Required skills:
  • Background or experience in graphics or a design field
  • Competent with Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Basic knowledge of HTML code
  • Competent with InDesign and Photoshop
  • Attention to detail
Desirable skills:
  • Advanced Excel skills, such as knowledge of vlookup 
  • Photography skills
  • Plan drawing and 3D modelling skills
  • Knowledge of the eyewear and fashion industries
Salary: £700 per month
Duration: starting in July 2017 for a minimum of six weeks (with the possibility for this to be extended)
