Acetate
The Story
A juxtaposition between still and fluid, digital and analogue, city and sea. The Serpentine collection explores the profound elegance in living beautifully. One that brings together the serenity of slow and considered living with the enduring British heritage of Cutler and Gross.
Handcrafted in Italy, acetate sunglasses and opticals are presented in neutral, yet deceivingly rich tones. The collection also welcomes a new series of Knightsbridge Green titanium styles, handcrafted by master artisans in Japan where a devotion towards excellence is unmatched.
“For our new acetate styles, we drew inspiration from what endures. From rich Havana browns reminiscent of natural mahogany wood, to deep navy blues of fluid waters. This collection explores what it means to live beautifully. Not extravagantly, but with intention”
Alessandro Marcer, Cutler and Gross Creative Director
Knightsbridge Green Titanium
Timeless
Bringing together the serenity of slow and considered living with the enduring British heritage of Cutler and Gross. The Serpentine collection welcomes timeless optical and sunglass styles inspired by the archives yet stamped with more modern design codes—from the latest Oyster bullion frontal pins of the 9386, to the Deco Rim Wire on the new line of Knightsbridge Green titanium.
Sculptural
A study of composure and utmost design complexities. Our artisans add meticulous internal chamfer and bevel milling to acetate eyewear to provide lightness and balance to the sculptural angles. Each style is handcrafted in our Italian atelier at the foot of the Dolomites, where our design ethos becomes not only seen, but felt when worn.
Stillness
The Serpentine collection is an invitation to find stillness and consideration in a life cultivated, and the beauty of every day. Each optical and sunglass draws from the oftentimes overlooked elegance of slower living. Acetate hues reflect the opulence and naturalness of mahogany wood and supple calf leather, while tinted lenses of titanium frames echo the sinuous and crystalline purity of rolling waves.
