PR Manager (London, UK)

Job Title: PR Manager

Department: PR and Marketing

Reporting to: Brand and Communications Director

Location: Unit A, 58-62 White Lion Street, Islington, London N1 9PP

Contract: Permanent, Full Time

A brand built on friendship and rooted in craft, Cutler and Gross was established by opticians Mr Cutler and Mr Gross in 1969. They had a vision: to pioneer a new standard of eyewear. Each frame was made by hand in the workshop above the Knightsbridge store in London.

Over 55 years on and this philosophy of craftsmanship remains unchanged. Taking place in Italy and Japan, the frames are handcrafted by a team of artisans who have spent decades honing their skills.

Today, the proudly independent eyewear brand has 6 flagship store locations in London, Bath, New York and Toronto and has over 2000 Stockists in 50 countries around the world, and online at www.cutlerandgross.com

Key Responsibilities:

  • To be the main point of contact for any PR or influencer related requests.
  • Design and implement PR roadmap that supports brand positioning, product launches and seasonal campaigns.
  • Adept with securing high-quality coverage and editorial placements, by building on existing relationships with key media, stylists and influencers whilst establishing new contacts.
  • Curate a strong celebrity and influencer product placement programme regularly suggesting talent ideas for seasonal seeding lists/projects/collaborations/campaign ideas.
  • Coordinate and manage seasonal press kits, PR assets and collateral (including sample kits in house and for US agency and partners).
  • Manage all sample requests and returns, supported by the Social and Brand Comms Executive.
  • Review and maintain all relevant media databases/target lists. Cultivating strong relationships with both B2B and B2B media across print, digital and broadcast platforms.
  • Monitor and manage all press cuttings, ensuring distribution to key stakeholders.
  • Manage relations with our US PR agency and work closely with partners and B2B PR teams.
  • Manage the organisation of press launches and brand activations (consumers and wholesale) events with the Marketing Manager.
  • Work closely with the Brand and Communications Director on PR campaigns in line with the overall Marketing and PR strategy, working to budgets and timelines.
  • Work with Brand and Communications Director on all business and brand interviews.
  • Oversee Brand PR budgets, reporting and ROI.
  • Collaborate with social and editorial team and align PR efforts with social content, influencer marketing and online reporting management.
  • Support Brand Director on editorial and campaign shoots.

Requirements:

  • Ideally 8+ years of experience in PR, preferably in luxury fashion, beauty, or lifestyle sectors.
  • Strong network of media and talent contacts within the luxury and fashion industries.
  • Exceptional written, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience managing events, media briefings, and high-profile launches.
  • Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of brand positioning and storytelling.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in monitoring PR performance and producing executive reports.
  • Passion for design, craftsmanship and the luxury consumer mindset.
  • Must be highly organised and remain calm under pressure with the ability to multi-task and achieve deadlines across numerous projects, being part of a team and a strong collaborator.
  • A genuine interest in luxury fashion, world of art, music and design.

The Role:

A mid-weight graphic designer with the passion, attention to detail and drive to deliver best in class brand assets for the business. Working with a junior designer to deliver outstanding design work that engages our audiences and sets us apart in the luxury industry.

You will have excellent typographic skills and comfortable in both print and digital. A creative problem solver with the skills to use design thinking to tackle competing objectives in intelligent and practical ways.

The role provides multiple briefs, and the successful candidate must have the ability to expand and develop ideas in a clear and engaging manner, not be afraid to question and investigate to ensure the business needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and execute brand guidelines across all touchpoints, ensuring consistency and high-quality output.
  • Develop creative concepts and visual assets for seasonal window campaigns, in-store messaging, packaging, and international trade shows.
  • Design and produce marketing collateral including POS, lookbooks, event invitations, print advertisements, press packs, and brand books.
  • Deliver high-quality digital assets for web, newsletters, paid social media, digital advertising, and affiliate marketing channels.
  • Supporting on the visual development and creative execution of the Cutler and Gross website (Shopify), ensuring it reflects the brand’s luxury positioning, intuitive navigation and elevated user experience.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Ecommerce, and Sales teams to deliver cohesive brand storytelling across digital and physical platforms.
  • Translate campaign ideas into digital formats with strong knowledge of layout, typography, motion, and animation.
  • Design compelling presentations and internal communication materials, including decks for cross-functional and sales teams.
  • Manage and nurture relationships with printers, suppliers, retail teams, and wholesale accounts, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
  • Handle bespoke creative requests from global stockists and key accounts.
  • Support the junior designer in workflow management and content creation for social platforms and journal features.
  • Create and maintain corporate templates, business cards, and stationery assets.
  • Stay up to date with design trends, digital innovations, and industry best practices to continuously enhance brand output.
  • Define project scopes, estimate budgets, and manage timelines for efficient and effective project delivery.

Typical skills:

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in luxury fashion graphics or design role with a discerning eye for quality. Experience in eyewear would be a bonus
  • Excellent knowledge and skills in Adobe CC software; Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator
  • Strong understanding of typography, colour, and layout and up to date with photographic, cultural and fashion trends
  • Must be highly organised and remain calm under pressure with the ability to multi-task and achieve deadlines across numerous projects
  • Meticulous, intelligence in layer naming and file organisation
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • A creative thinker with a desire to offer new concepts and solution-based designs
  • Keen to collaborate and work closely with the wider team
  • Knowledge of Shopify, Voyado and Figma would be beneficial
  • Ability to take feedback and adapt designs accordingly
  • Experience in motion graphics or video editing is a bonus
  • Ability to thoughtfully utilise AI tools to enhance and streamline the design process.
