"THE SCOOBIE" SUNGLASSES

The first style in the GILES for  collaboration.

The individually numbered handmade frames are available in Liquorice, Airstream  Silver, Pink Volcano and Space Leopard.

The latter being made from laminated signature silk jacquard giving a feel for shape and graphic impact - quietly subverting a classic shape.

An image of a tribe of Japanese fisherwomen dressed in brightly printed shorts charging out of the waves across black sand is what sparked Erdem's imagination for the spring/summer '10 CUTLER AND GROSS collaboration.

The pops of vibrant colours chosen juxtaposed with darker backgrounds work on a graphic and glamorously sixties style shape.  This range marks the first collaboration between Erdem and
CUTLER AND GROSS.

The spring/summer 2010 glasses are available in black, black lace, tortoise, a neutral stone, and Erdem's customized designed Kyoto print, an intensely coloured abstract floral print for the new season.

For spring summer 09 CUTLER AND GROSS have again collaborated with Comme Des Garcons for their Future of Black collection. This limited edition consists of three designs, all handmade and hand polished and have been fitted with extra dark grey tinted lenses to create a totally black look. The glasses fit inside a unique glasses case covered in Comme des Garcons own fabric.

Model 0425 Brown Stripe made its film debut in the Bond film.

This collection was inspired by the multi layered sleeves on the jackets in the S/S 08 Comme Des Garcons Homme Plus collection.

From the 1st May 2008 CUTLER AND GROSS are showcasing their new and past collections at Selfridges London. This is being held in the Woman’s Luxury room just off Oxford Circus.

The theme from Selfridges was “Wacky Races”.  For CUTLER AND GROSS this was right up our alley.  A collaboration of ideas produced an installation that ties in perfectly with the Selfridges windows. Blown up images of tin toy racers sitting astride giant images of the new Autumn Winter collection, this truly encapsulates the essence of wacky races.
